First off there are some myths/rumors I want to clear up about Canada and Canadians!

  1. The snow melts here. Sure we got it for more than six months, but it still melts. Only bad thing about this though is when it does melt the grass smells like dog shit.
  2. When you see a weather map that has temperatures in both Fahrenheit and Celcius, the temperature doesn't drop fifty degrees as soon as you cross the border into Canada. It gets cold up here but not that cold.
  3. We eat chocolate bars instead of candy bars.
  4. We drink pop, not soda.
  5. We can drink legally while still a teen.
  6. We don't know or care about the fuss with Cuba, it's just a cheap place to travel to and has good cigars.
  7. We're not sure if the leader of our nation has EVER had sex and don't want to know if he has!
  8. We drive on a highway, not a freeway.
  9. We don't live in igloos. The Inuit people of the north don't even live in them.
  10. We don't drink 24 hours a day...we spend more than eight of those 24 hours sleeping off our hangovers.
  11. We don't ride snowmobiles. We do have cars. Cars with big ass heaters that we have to plug in at night but they are still cars.
  12. We don't learn to play hockey at the age of five. It's earlier around the age of two.
